Wanderlust.

"I havent really been to anywhere, but its on my list"- a sayings that i found while browsing through my Pinterest page. I have never been to other country. The farthest country i ve been too once was KL, so you could say that i am a soon to be an amateur traveler dream of conquering the world.
Wanderlust is a beautiful word. It inspires someone to go out and see the world. It will be great if i could just pack my bag now and start wandering.

It is confirmed!!! That I am going to Singapore this August yuhuuuuu! Thank you Air Asia for the great and low cheap ticket fare which only cost me rm112 in total. For someone who never get the chance to travel like me, i am just way too happy that i finally will get the chance to do so. That is why i am very excited about it :) I am going to travel to another country without my parents for the first time in my life. 22 years old is never too old for it, in fact, i think this is the right time to start an adventure. I have this little thinking in my mind when i was about to book my ticket saying that when the opportunity come, grab it fast first and put your worry aside. I was thinking about my financial, will i have enough money to even pay for a stay during my visit? Only after I confirmed the ticket fare then I start worrying about things like this. This is really so funny and crazy of me.

It has always been a dream of mine to travel and go see the world. Well now, Singapore is the first country i'll be visiting to
heheheh. I am going with my bestest friend in the world who i have known since my kindergarten year. We are so gonna have a lot of fun together Daev. This will be your first flight and certainly not the last one. Well, we are planning to go Johor first and stay there for 4 days and 3 nights. We will be arriving Johor at night so Singapore trip need to be hold on to the next day. This is not gonna be a luxury trip but more to budget trip where we will only gonna spend our money very very wise on hotel and FOOD only which is a must! I will have my big tummy full with food there, this is for sure. I just cant wait to visit every street food that me and Daev gonna pass through in Singapore. I dont think we can afford a stay in Singapore so we will need to go back to Johor and stay there. The next day, we are planning to conquer Malacca, o yeah. I just love how vintage it'd feel to be able to see the monuments and buildings in Malacca city that still stay strong until now. I am sure gonna take a lot of pictures and memories there. I wish we will have time to go KL since Daev never been to KL before. Fingers crossed, hopefully my traveling procedure would be a smooth one. Johor, Singapore and Malacca, we are so gonna see you this August. In the meantime, i gotta stop spending money on unnecessary stuffs and start saving. Passport, hotel and food, mama got a lot to pay.

little update

Something big is coming up. It may and may not gonna change my life. but this post is going to be a self reminder to myself no matter what is going to happen after this regardless. I have always been taught to keep myself humble, to never talk bad about other people and to never ever look down on other people. If i ever happen to be like that, remind me and tell me so that i could change into a good one. At this very moment, i am very excited. It is something that i desire to do so much. But im so shy until i do not know how to accept compliments. but im thankful of that. 2014 hopefully gonna be an amazing year for me, fingers crossed.

Monday blue.

As it raining outside, listening to this soothing voice of my good friend is just so comforting..

It's 7.10 am and definitely a Monday blue to me. It's raining, it's cold, it's Monday and i got class, no fun at all. I wish i have my blanket here with me to cuddle and fall into sleep like a baby. >.<
As the sayings says, life must go on. I must survive this week. With a lot of assignments awaiting, i must stay motivated.
Week 6 starts today, and my mid exam will starts on the 8th week which means i have only 2 weeks to prepare for it. How can i even start my revision when all my time now is wasted on assignments and APK expo. sigh..
I just hope everything will go smooth today and the rest of the weeks.
Until then, stay motivated Deidre! Fighting!

Pledge

Deidre Casandra
2nd Year
Bachelor of Food Sc. & Nutrition
University of Malaysia Sabah

I may have not give my best on the first year of my degree,
I may have said thousands of sweet words to myself how motivated i was,
But all those things were the beautiful lies i took for granted,
I forgot how to work hard,
I took things easily,
All these things are the reason to my failure,
Therefore, this semester,
I pledge to myself,
To do it with all my heart in everything i do.
And of course, with God's will.

One wish ticked! Late post about trip to Pulau Sapi last month

So, one of my 2013's wishes came true last month. That is to conquer one of the beautiful island in Sabah. We choose Pulau Sapi to be the first ever island i've ever been to. We made it! I was so worried at first because of the cloudy weather but yeay after the hard pray, we finally made it. If you look at the picture below, i was the only girl who joined the trip since everyone couldn't make it even my bestfriend, Adi was supposed to join but too bad she got another thing to do.

Our million dollar smile. This was taken at Jesselton Point. Place where you book&buy yr ferry ticket to the island.

While at the jetty before departure..

Thank God for the beautiful and not-so-hot day..

While in the boat..Life jacket is a must ya.

Uh-huh, happy face because i made it!

Our magestic Mount Kinabalu.

Welcome to Pulau Sapi everyone!

Big lizard wandering around the island.. cool stuff.

Blue but not-so-crystal-clear water. There were too many people on that day plus the island's seaside isn't that large.

I love the white sand and blue water. It's the perfect colour combination for a perfect beach.

With Chan and Nusri.

Thats the ferry that took us here..

Big rocks at around the beach.

The Perwaja's boys

Time to say goodbye !

Awan Dedriette-the interview.

Hey dear readers! How ya all been doing?! Some of you must've been wondering how was my interview goin' on, rite? :P

Last Saturday was great, my flight attendant interview went very smoothly eventhough I DIDN'T GET IT, but it's okay. I'm not that sad . hehe.

For me, it was a great experience as i got the chance to meet new friends which most of them were chinese and damn tall! Lemme tell you, THEY WERE ALL HANDSOME AND PRETTY AND TALL AND SPEAK ENGLISH FLUENTLY! I felt so tiny being in the middle of the crowd at that moment since my english was not that good. But i did try my best to communicate with them and brave enough to speak english which i rarely do. I can speak but so tak biasa ehhh. How i wish i can speak english just like them. Eh no, how I wish i can get used to it, so that easier for me to communicate .Cheh wa, who doesn't want kan.

Anyway, the interview day started with height check. You know what, they increased the height requirement about 3 cm i think. My height suppose to be 168 cm tall suddenly became 164.5 cm like WTH? Some of them who only height about 157cm became 154cm ,sadly they have to go home afterward since they didn't achieve the height requirement. I was with Judith that time, and thank God she managed to go second round. Law nda, tedala kawan sy.

Second round was an academic round which you have to show your real SPM certificate to make sure you're not faking it. It was easy for me since i got 3A's and pass in all subjects .They only want you to get at least kepujian in BM and English and pass three other subjects. So, for me,not a big problem.

I was very inspired by this friend of mine who came all the way from Rawang , Selangor trying his luck here. However,he have to face the truth when he was rejected for not qualified enough to go for the 3rd round. Imagine, he arrived KK about 2 am and have to wait at airport till morning since he came alone and no family staying here. My gosh, dream punya pasal sanggup oo..but seriously, I’m proud of him, brave enough to go here alone. He said he’ll go to Sarawak for the next cabin crew interview. I wish he’ll manage to get through to the next around.

The third round was an interview session, the toughest one I think. I was nervous, adrenaline rushed through my veins, hands suddenly felt cold and shivering when my name was called out. There were 6 person per interview. So, kira macam interview ramai2 la. There were 3 interviewers who I forgot their names, asked us to introduce ourselves, how to deal with the customer and what we had prepared for the interview.

I was the second one to introduce myself that time. I think I was a bit tersasul2 and grammarpun tunggang terbalik, but afterward, get used with them, lama2 okay la. One of my i-regret-saying-that-word was ‘I love the feeling when landing’, LIKE WTH!! I also don’t know why did I even mentioned that. And also! I asked them about the salary which I regretted so much, it looks like I went there for the sake of money . huhuhu. Berlah tu. After the interview finished, we went for a drink outside the room with an eager feeling to know the results. Results came out, all of us didn’t get it, even my friends who spoke English damn fluently also didn’t get it. How sad. But for me, I accept it with an open heart, it was great to experienced all of it. Thanks to Memey,Zuing and Fella, nice meeting you all on that day.

At that moment, Judith was still waiting for her turn to be called out. Since I cannot go sit with her and other participants, I decided to go home. Sempat lagi I go jalan-jalan around Sutera Harbourhotel. 5 stars la katakan, haha.

Actually, after the interview still got the next round which was grooming. IDK about this, since I didn't get through it. During the day, I met Izzah Ibrahim (my primary school mate), Adam Haziq’s sister which I forgot to ask her name and also Julaiha (my secondary school mate). I think Izzah and Adam’s sister only sampai interview juga. But memang banyak orang fail tym interview session. MAS is a very strict airline, I think they only pick 30 person over 400.

These are the pics I took after the interview finished. I can’t snap a pic inside the interview room, I don’t think they’ll allow me though.

Me,SS-ing. LOLS

The Pasific, Sutera Harbour Resort's view near the beach.

A lil touch up :p

Look pale here. hmm..some lip gloss maybe?

Teehehe !

Great experience, great peoples, great fashions, great make-up, great place! I’m glad I came!Looking forward to a next cabin crew interview, Air Asia maybe?

There’s no room for me to be sad because of this failure, naaahh not a failure, an experience! I still got a long way to go, cheers to a freaking day everybody!

With love,

Deidre.

still thinking..

OMG, 3 days to go before my interview day come!
Resume done, passport pic done, office attire done.
Only the application letter need to be done. You know, after leaving school for such a long time really makes me forget anything about studying till i forgot the formal letter's format. sigh..
Trust me, i've never touch pen or write anything in a paper after the whole school thingy finished.
Freak ~

Anyway, let me show you my office attire which i feel quite elegant haha. i guess so.
but don't worry, fashion crime won't happen on that day. I know, the belt was such a no-no choice! will loose it :)

My bro decided to not going for the interview, he said he's not fully ready. Chehhhh what an excuse..he should really go for it , i really think he had the chance .What a waste.Hmm..

Anyway, wish me luck people!
This is like one in a million opportunity! An opportunity i myself wouldn't want to waste!
You know you got the chance to travel around the world with FREE TICKET. Isn't that amazing!! But i know ,if i get this job , i have to leave my sweet home and forgetting the plan about becoming a nutrionist and dad would be very upset..But i want it,like want it so badly, getting to know world rather than sitting and waiting for the chance to come again..but i don't know, im still young..and making big decision is such a tough thing to do ..hmm..still confuse , which part i'm gonna choose..which part gonna lead to me a happy ending..

xoxo,deidre..

05 April 2011

a bit confuse with my future

I wanna scream as loud as i can!!!aaagghhh!!

I'm still confuse with my future ,i don't know where should o go eventhough i know there are a lot of opportunities waiting for me outside..
The problem is, what i should be is not what i want and thats really hard..
My dad always told me to be this and that, cannot go there cannot go here and yeah i'm very good girl and always listen to them.
But now it's going to be me who gonna live for my future and not them.
My real dream is to go travel all around the world . To achieve this, i can be a flight attendent! But my dad never ever gonna allow me to take stewardess as my carrier. But i want it, like so badly..

The second problem is, if i become a flight attendent, i won't have the chance to further study just like what my parents want me to be..they want me to have a stable and profesional job such as teacher or vaterinar . But i wanna do something that i enjoy, i'm more to practical than theory..huhuhu..i'm confuse with myself..Matriculation, UPM and SPA are all look very hard and stress and IDK if i can handle it or not. I'm not smart like others eventhough i know i can still struggle there. Form 5 pun sy rasa stress suda pasal semua sains sains ne ,apa lagi step up to another level..matai na yan..
There will be a flight attendant interview at Sutera Harbour this 23rd april, i'm still thinking whether i should go for it or not..

There will also an Unduk Ngadau selection this 16 april.
I don't really have the confident to join it as a matter of fact. I can't really speak dusun fluently and i don't think i have that sweet smile where a UN contestents should have since my teeth bukannya lurus sangat pun, hahaha.
Anyway, there will someone who's willing to sponsor my make up and hair and the only thing left is my outfit and ehem ehem, cara jalan..ahhaha.
But we'll see, law sy menang!!huiyo!!hahaha.gila eh, mungkin first round suda kalah pasal gigi senget!hahaha.

anyway, my future seems to be lil bit confusing..
but still,
i will never gonna stop chasing my dreams..
God just testing me, i can do it! ^^

xoxo deidre.
